Amanda Malucchi
Attorney at Law
Amanda Malucchi is an Associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Department and advocates for public sector employees across a spectrum of legal matters such as grievances, internal affairs investigations, administrative hearings, disciplinary actions, and critical incidents. She also assists the firm’s civil litigation department. Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from California State University, Sacramento and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lincoln Law School where she received several awards for trial advocacy and moot court. Amanda is a dedicated legal professional committed to protecting the rights and interests of her clients.
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining GRT, Amanda interned at a District’s Attorney’s Office where she gained invaluable experience in the courtroom. Amanda joined GRT as a law clerk during her final year of law school, paving the way for her transition to a licensed attorney. Before becoming an attorney, Amanda was a Deputy Probation Officer for eight years in Northern California and attended law school in the evening. She was vice president of her employee association for several of those years, which included sitting at the bargaining table during negotiations and supporting members during labor and employment-related issues.
Amanda spent most of her law enforcement career supervising adult offenders and spent extensive time in the field. She was assigned to several multi-agency task forces and additional assignments included the court and juvenile units. Amanda was a department training and a frequent guest lecturer in the Criminal Justice Department at Sac State. Her firsthand experience gives her the ability to easily understand and empathize with the perspectives of the employees she represents.
When Amanda is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, wine tasting, and cooking. She also dedicates her time to the betterment of first responders, active and former military members, EMTs, nurses, and their families as a volunteer with 1st Responder Conferences.
